How soon can we start?

I’m so glad you want to prioritize Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging in your business! 

I recommend inquiring as early as possible for 2 reasons:

  1. Doing deep, change-the-culture work isn’t like ordering fast food. The earlier you inquire, the earlier you get to enjoy the fruits of your labor and watch noticeable shifts in your organization.  

  2. I typically work with clients anywhere from 6–18 months at a time, and there is often a waitlist to work with me.

During your consult, we’ll talk about current availability. We can establish your start date after your contract has been signed and your retainer has been processed.

How long does this take?

The Mastermind Experience for C-suite leaders is a 3-phased approach that lasts anywhere from 9–18 months, depending on how many leaders are in the C-suite and how many direct reports each have. Change-the-culture behaviors take time for cultural healing to take place. It’s a significant investment of time, but it’s worth it. 


Think about it: how effective and long-lasting have the results of check-the-box initiatives been to reduce employee turnover?

This is a marathon, not a sprint, and the leadership team must be on board for the entire trip.”

Who are your services NOT for?

Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging consulting with Dr. Anita is not for companies who prefer to promote check-the-box initiatives over change-the-culture behaviors. 

Is this just for the Chief Human Resources Officer?

No. The CHRO usually has an overwhelming burden of being the default DEI subject matter expert, with the unrealistic expectation of creating a utopian workforce all by themselves. 


That weight is too heavy for one person to carry. 


To create a culture where everyone truly feels like they belong, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging must be the responsibility of the entire C-suite. 


Ownership for Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging reaches organization-wide when the entire C-suite team is courageous enough to get comfortable with temporary discomfort about Diversity, foster Belonging with each other, and role model inclusive leadership to their direct reports. (Who then model it to their direct reports, who then model it to their direct reports, and so on.)


Belonging within an entire organization is a result of inclusive leadership, starting with the C-suite and cascading all the way through to people on the front lines. 

I’m not sure my organization has a budget for a Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging consultant.

If you want deep cultural change to align more significantly with your company values, know that this is an investment in terms of both time and money. 


If a 6-figure price tag is out of the budget, look at what your company has spent on employee turnover in the last year. Is it perhaps because people don’t feel a sense of belonging in your organization?
