C-Suite Case Study: Logitech Legal Offsite

Building Trust for Global Legal Team Success

Client Snapshot

A global gaming company engaged us to support its 32-person worldwide legal team, led by the Chief Legal Officer. The group included legal professionals across multiple geographies, practice areas, and levels of seniority. Team members were highly skilled, motivated, and trusted individually, but the organization needed a stronger foundation for working together as one connected team.

Challenge

A pre-session survey showed that the team’s individual excellence was not yet translating into consistent collective execution. While 93.9% of participants rated their motivation to succeed as high or very high, one-third rated peer-to-peer accountability and collaboration effectiveness as only average. Another 27.3% rated the conditions for speaking candidly in group settings as average.

The challenge was not a lack of talent or commitment. The team needed a stronger connective layer built around trust, open communication, shared expectations, and mutual accountability.

Approach

We designed and facilitated “Aligning for Acceleration: Teaming, Trust & Traction,” a structured, high-intensity offsite for all 32 members of the global legal organization.

  • Participants were divided into two facilitated cohorts so every person had space to contribute, reflect, and engage in meaningful dialogue.

  • The experience focused on practical relationship-building and accountability rather than traditional team-building activities. Participants co-created a Commitment Covenant by identifying the expectations, commitments, and non-negotiable behaviors they wanted to uphold as a team.

  • A structured Walk & Talk exercise, guided by the prompt “If you really knew me…”, helped participants challenge assumptions and connect with colleagues on a more personal level. Each participant also developed a 30-day action plan and selected an accountability partner to help turn the session’s insights into sustained behavior.

Outcomes

Post-session results showed an immediate improvement in team cohesion, clarity, psychological safety, and accountability.

  • 100% rated team trust as high or very high.

  • 91% reported a clear understanding of the team’s shared commitments.

  • 100% adopted the 30-day accountability commitment.

One participant’s personal commitment was unanimously adopted by all 32 team members without prompting, demonstrating a strong sense of shared ownership across both cohorts.

The offsite gave the team a common language, a living set of commitments, and a clearer understanding of how individual behavior contributes to collective success. It helped move the legal organization from strong one-to-one working relationships toward greater whole-team trust and execution.

Participant Feedback

“I believe they will carry what they have learned far into their professional work and personal lives. One of the team members told me she suddenly realized, during the workshop, what she did wrong in a relationship with a parent, that she has done a lot of self-reflection, and she plans to correct it. That’s a true learning moment.” – Cissy, HR Business Partner
